I've been a painting contractor since 1979, with forays into other ventures along the way. I have painted shopping malls, Victorian mansions, new builds, striped parking lots, thousands of homes and businesses, freeway retaining walls and underpasses...pretty much anything that stands still long enough to be painted. I've run crews and been a foreman (forewoman, I guess) and taught many people the craft.

Dogmuse is recently reincarnated. In my 16 month absence, it continued to get a fair bit of traffic, according to sitemeter. Oh dear, another abandoned blog? Nope. I am 50 and live in Michigan with two Rottweilers, a Nottweiler and three accidental cats. I do agility and paint houses and write sometimes. My favourite icecream flavor is peanut butter. I can probably beat your ass at Scrabble. How's that for succinct?

nice choice of colors...
I kind of like the plum...don't know about the wine.
That was two different houses....I have painted Sherwin Williams "Fine Wine" so many damn times I could spit! It looks sharp, though.
The plum looked better IRL - would not be my choice for paint color but it's one of ther most flattering colors I can wear. :)
LOVE that purple! I have a paint swatch of that color on a wall in my kitchen - it's just a wing wall, beside the stove and on the way to the dining nook.
Mr. doesn't think it will look good. Sigh. Although now that we have some money coming in, we may be able to hire the plumber and finish our kitchen remodel (I had a friend give me his old cabinets - WOOT!)... and I might just sneak it in when Mr. isn't looking.
The plum looks great next to the sage greens I have all over the place. Mark prefers a burgundy tone. Maybe in the NEXT house we'll have burgendy accents...
