Yes, I've been working.

I floated that garage, then sprayed it on one of the few almost-warmish days we had a few weeks ago. I wasn't fond of the color but then it's not my house. :)
I've been really busy, but keep forgetting to take my camera along...Febuary and March are always my very slowest months though, and except for repainting a basement and maybe a couple of little things, I have nothing much scheduled.
Actually looking forward to a little down time! Entered a few upcoming agility trials, need to enter obedience trials too, time to do a bit of wortk on my own house. Which, of course, needs painting...

Home urinals

Yes, these are urinals. (And one rather yummy guy.)
In upscale homes, urinals are becoming quite the thing. Remember when bidets were a brief fad back in the mid 1990s? I don't know if urinals will catch on, but as any woman who cleans the bathroom after male family members (so to speak) will tell you, they make sense.
I rather like the whole peeing on flowers imagery.

Bad dog.

Haha! That is not me, of course. I'm smaller and thinner. I'd sure like to have gotten that job, though. Beautiful house.

Getting somewhere.

Some improvements to compare to the previous before photos. The blue room with fishies and waves, all beige. The 30 year old wallpaper over puke green paint, all gone. The beams and panelling, all gone and in a big ass pile in the back yard. Lisa helped rip it all down, that was rather fun. In the picture that's just the prime coat, and the trim all has to go back up.
Then I taped and floated and sanded and floated and sanded and....oh did I mention I SUCK at drywall finishing? I don't do it often enough to get good at it; there's a real art to making beautiful smooth walls with no gaps or wrinkles in the tape lines. Well, it comes out OK but I have to do about four times the work because of all the re-patching and fixing to get it right. In retrospect I should've just subbed that part out, but I don't really know any drywall people out here.
Every time Cooper lies down he leaves a little pile of drywall dust. I need to vacuum him! He has not had a bath since...March 2004. We are doing a big 3 day dog show in a couple of weeks, maybe I'll actually get him groomed. But he sure enjoys coming to work with the boss.

I'm a little dolly, short and sweet.....

(To the tune of "I'm a little teapot....")

So last week I'm carrying two five gallon buckets of paint into the job. Plumber says to me, "You know, you should get you a little dolly for that."
"Got it covered," sez I, "I am a little dolly!"

Badaboom badabing.

How I spent my vacation.

These are all before and during photos, of course. The waves and fish are gone, as is the wallpaper, the panelling and the beams...the whole house is going Graham "Vanilla Ice" Elite Flat and Satin, with shiny white trim. And I have a buttload of taping and drywall, ugh.
