Pedro's Big Adventure

I was going to name my little rock "Peter" which comes from the Greek word for stone. But, I already know a Peter so that would sound strange. Pedro is the Spanish form of Peter.
So here's Pedro, who valiantly made the 550 mile round trip drive to Chicago and back. He'd migrated to the edge of the bumper by the time we got home and got a little chilly, but otherwise he's fine.

Here is Pedro in Hyde Park, Chicago.

Pedro in a truck stop in Indiana.

Pedro back home in Michigan.

That is just too funny!!! I'd have never guessed that little rock could stay there for over 500 miles and then some. Especially on Michigan roads (was that a pothole, or did we run over a cow??).

I had an OK Turkey day, just way too much food and enough of my sister to last for another 6 months. . . But I'll be seeing her again for the holidays. . . Oh well. . .

Glad you had a safe trip.

HUGGSS!!

Cheers to the doldrums of the winter painting season.....You've got your bumper rock, and I've got 17 different Starbucks cups I just cleaned out of the back of my pickup, and I can tell which job I worked on from the colour of the fingerprints (paint, obviously!) on the cup......I can't bring myself to name them all though.....

Carina, Pedro is such an oddity, good thing you took these pics, and that you instinctively knew the stubbornness indicated the male gender. Ha.

So glad you had a nice Thanksgiving. Hope your week is great too.

And gee, those look like Elvis paws!! Interesting that you have Pedro, when we packed up the ramp for the moving truck in MI and headed for NC, there was a penny on the ramp and we decided to leave it there and see if it would make the 800 mile trip. It did and we still have it taped to a piece of paper waiting to go in the scrapbook. Now if I can only find time to get the scrapbook done.....
